The Avenger is the second studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band Amon Amarth, released on 2 September 1999 by Metal Blade Records
It is the first album with the classic lineup of the band (Johan Hegg, Ted Lundström, Olavi Mikkonen, Johan Söderberg and Fredrik Andersson). This lineup remained unchanged until 2015
