Summer Bodies is the first solo album by Dana Buoy (the indie pop project of Dana Janssen, known as the drummer of the experimental rock band Akron/Family)
The album offers a colourful, warm and bright pop that the artist himself describes as "Tropicore". It is a blend of dream pop, Afrobeat and synthpop that evokes the love and carefree nature of summer nights. Critics often compare its sounds to a crossover between the world of Paul Simon (Graceland), Vampire Weekend and Drake.
