DR. DRE - Compton (2xLP)

Compton is the third studio album by American rapper and producer Dr. Dre. It was released on August 21, 2015. It follows his second album, 2001 (1999), after the cancellation of the highly anticipated but never released Detox project.

The production of the album took place alongside that of Detox, but the idea for the album itself was born from the production of the biographical film about N.W.A., Straight Outta Compton, which inspired Dre with the idea of a soundtrack. The specific production of the album occurred between 2013 and 2015 in several recording studios and was handled by various renowned producers, including Dr. Dre himself, Focus..., Dem Jointz, Trevor Lawrence Jr., DJ Dahi, Cardiak, and Theron Feemster, among others. The album Compton features collaborations with Anderson .Paak, Marsha Ambrosius, Craig Owens, Ice Cube, King Mez, Justus, Kendrick Lamar, Candice Pillay, Jon Connor, Sly Pyper, Dem Jointz, The Game, Xzibit, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and many others.
