RIVAL SONS - Lightbringer (LP)

LIGHTBRINGER, the second studio album by Rival Sons, a band twice nominated for GRAMMY Awards, will be released in 2023, following DARKFIGHTER, which was released in June and received critical acclaim. Regarding LIGHTBRINGER, guitarist Scott Holiday stated: "Releasing two albums back to back like this takes a lot of effort. The first has to be impactful and tell a story rich enough for the second to have an even stronger impact. We found the right balance between energy and depth, but the second had to be even more striking. I think LIGHTBRINGER fulfills that role." Rival Sons wrote DARKFIGHTER and LIGHTBRINGER during the same recording sessions in 2021. They collaborated again with their long-time producer and collaborator, Dave Cobb. The band initially released DARKFIGHTER at the beginning of the summer, which received unanimous praise from critics.
