Floodland is the second studio album by the British gothic rock band The Sisters of Mercy, released on 13 November 1987 through the label Merciful Release. Created during a period of turmoil following the departure of several founding members, this work is widely regarded as Andrew Eldritch's masterpiece and a cornerstone of dark wave music.
The band officially consists of Eldritch and American bassist Patricia Morrison, whose aesthetic profoundly influences the imagery of the album.
