DAVID BOWIE - Tonight (LP)

Tonight is the sixteenth studio album by British singer David Bowie. It was released on 24 September 1984 on the EMI label.
Following the global success of the album Let's Dance and the Serious Moonlight Tour in 1983, Bowie began working on Tonight in the spring of 1984 at the Morin-Heights Studio in Quebec. He called back most of the musicians who participated in Let's Dance, but chose to enlist a young producer, Derek Bramble, instead of Nile Rodgers. The recording was tense and sound engineer Hugh Padgham replaced Bramble for the final sessions.
To avoid alienating fans who discovered him with Let's Dance, Bowie chose to remain in the dance-pop genre, even though some tracks on the album are tinged with reggae or rhythm and blues. Due to a lack of inspiration or involvement, he wrote only two of the nine songs alone, with the others being collaborations with Iggy Pop or covers.
