VAN HALEN - Women & Children First (LP)

Women and Children First is the third album by the American rock band, Van Halen.

This album was released on 26 March 1980 on the Warner Bros Records label and was recorded in two and a half weeks at Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood.

A notable difference from its predecessors is that all the tracks are composed by the band. The sound is also heavier and the lyrics are a bit darker, the band has significantly matured. For the first time, Eddie uses a keyboard on the track "And the Cradle Will Rock".

Several songs ("Fools", "In a Simple Rhyme", etc.) from this album were composed or drafted while the band was still touring clubs.
