DEPECHE MODE - A Broken Frame (LP)

A Broken Frame is the second studio album recorded by the English new wave band Depeche Mode, released in 1982.
After the departure of Vince Clarke, one of the founding members, the rest of the band had to find a replacement. The lucky one was ultimately Alan Wilder, who had just successfully passed the auditions. However, he did not participate in the making of the album, as the band members wanted to prove to themselves that they were capable of making an album on their own, without the help of Vince Clarke. However, Alan Wilder can be seen in the music videos.See YouThe Meaning of LoveandLeave in Silence.

The tone of the album remains generally upbeat while taking a more serious and less 'commercial' direction than onSpeak and Spell.
