Construction Time Again is the third studio album by the English group Depeche Mode, released in 1983.
This is the first album to feature Alan Wilder, who had previously only accompanied the band on tour. It is also the first time that Depeche Mode used samples (they made extensive use of them for the track Pipeline).
Depeche Mode continues here in the vein of A Broken Frame, increasingly leaving behind the 'youthful' aspect of Speak and Spell, and delivering a more 'serious' music. Some lyrics address political subjects, and industrial influences (notably Einstürzende Neubauten, who inspired Martin L. Gore after he attended one of their concerts) are present, thus steering the band's music towards a more experimental aspect.
